Have you ever heard about the metafor about Buffelo’s and cows?

Buffelo’s and cows can both sense when the storm is coming. In cows, they take off and run it away. Buffalo, they sense the storm and they run right at it, right into the sotrm.

I compare that to trauma. We are making a generation of cows, in which it is okay to run from your problems and not deal with it. The cool thing is that cows running from the storm get tired. The storm catches up with the cows and the cows keep running inside the storm. If they just stop running and let the storm pass. No, they keep running! They stay in that misery and shame, way longer than it has to be.

Buffalo’s run inside the storm and it is terryfing. But once they get passed that first initial scare, that fear, the storm passes and can become happy and they are rested.
